Cole Walker's ride is a 2012 Harley-Davidson Iron 883, specifically a customised Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883N Iron 883.
His bike features a black powder-coated engine and covers, a black drag-style handlebar and riser, a black powder-coated exhaust with dual straight-cut mufflers, black fork sliders and fork gaiters, and a pair of 13-spoke cast aluminium wheels wrapped in 31" Michelin Scorcher front and rear tires. Like most of the the other members of SAMREN Cole's bike has the front drag fairing. The standard engine was changed to an XL1200CC. The bike also incorporates flipped mirrors, a customised elongated seat, a hand made black leather pannier bag that sits on the left side and a chrome petrol cap.
All the work done to the bike has been undertaken by Cole, and Cole alone. The Californian is extremely touchy about anyone touching his motorcycle. He purchased the bike direct from a Harley-Davidson supplier in San Francisco.
The Sportster[]
The Sportster is a line of motorcycles produced continuously since 1957 by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Sportster models are designated in Harley-Davidson's product code by beginning with "XL". In 1952, the predecessors to the Sportster, the Model K Sport and Sport Solo motorcycles, were introduced. These models K, KK, KH, and KHK of 1952 to 1956 had a flat head engine, whereas the later XL Sportster models use an overhead valve engine. The first Sportster in 1957 featured many of the same details of the KH including the frame, fenders, large gas tank and front suspension.
